[WELCOME HOME ]
WELCOME HOME ARTISTS PLATFORM is an international arts initiative founded by Chris Agnese and Özlem Yeni in collaboration with The Main Gallery (Australia). The platform brings together artists from diverse cultural backgrounds to create, share, and exchange stories through contemporary art. Rooted in experiences of migration, displacement, belonging, and transformation, Welcome Home provides an interdisciplinary space where emerging and established artists collaborate, experiment, and develop new work through dialogue, collective reflection, and co-creation. Working across multiple artistic practices, participants contribute to a living archive of shared experiences that evolves through artist residencies, exhibitions, workshops, public conversations, and online programming.
By connecting artists with local communities, Welcome Home fosters meaningful intercultural exchange while supporting long-term artistic collaboration. The platform extends beyond exhibitions through educational initiatives, digital projects, and community partnerships that encourage dialogue and strengthen relationships between artists and the communities they engage. The inaugural Welcome Home event took place on June 12, 2026, with the support of Felice Agency, The Funding Studio, and Meg Jones Media, marking the beginning of an ongoing international platform dedicated to collaboration, cultural exchange, and socially engaged contemporary art.
